Oh my! The dragonlings and friends are back with more delightful shenanigans, and I can't seem to get enough! Smith has dazzled her fans again with yet another devilishly cute, fun-filled romp. In The Dragonlings' Very Special Valentine, the younglings embark on another wildly entertaining adventure after hearing a very special story about the celebration of another holiday on Earth. But this time, our youngsters learn about the tradition of showing love by giving valentines along with a very important lesson about the healing power of love. Of course, as always, our dragonlings take it to heart.... and very, very literally. They seek assistance from the goddesses Arilla and Arosa to help them heal the broken hearts of two special but very lonely people who have given up on love. Unfortunately, to do it, they'll have to cross the universe to deliver two very special valentines and teach two lonely individuals how to love again. I never tire of reading about the hilariously precarious misadventures of these adorably precocious toddlers which always seem to result in headaches galore for the adults but loads of fun for everyone, including the readers. This is a spinoff or subseries of Smith's Dragon Lords of Valdier Series but these stories feature the Valdier, Sarafin and Curizan toddlers experiencing a popular Earth holiday with books to date spotlighting Easter, Christmas, Halloween and now, Valentine's Day. The fact it's also the first time the alien dragon lord fathers are experiencing our traditional but strange holiday celebrations makes it an adventure for the adults as well and only adds to the hilarity. Each of the books is novella length, can be read as a standalone and all end with a sweet, satisfying happy ending, but it would certainly be remiss of me if I did not recommend the entire Dragons and Dragonlings of Valdier Series.
But as usual I digress, so let's talk a few details about this book in particular. I found this story to be unique, highly imaginative, humorous, exceptionally well crafted with a beautifully written third person narrative with perspectives from the parents as well as the children. The dialogue is smart, entertaining, well executed, laugh-out-loud funny, and flows effortlessly. What do I even say about the dialogue of the children other than it's absolutely hysterical. It's exactly the way my grandchildren talked when they were toddlers learning to communicate. It's just precious! But if I had to pick a favorite element of each of the stories, it would be the characters. They are adorable, realistic, fascinating, engaging, and vividly portrayed. They literally explode from the pages, grab your imagination and completely capture your heart. The celebrations are designed primarily for the children but, of course, the alien dads are nothing more than overgrown kids themselves and always horn in on all the fun, after which complete chaos ensues! I can hardly wait to see what Smith has in store for the dragonlings and their little friends in crime!
Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but maybe only for tweens, young adults and, of course, for us mature readers as well. I'm 65 years young and never seem to get enough of the little Dragonlings and friends shenanigans. I never miss any of the books in this series and always race to place my preorder as soon as it's offered by Smith. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Totally! I was glued to my seat, white-knuckling my ereader, and laughing hysterically while the pages flew as quickly as the time! Deliciously cute, devilishly fun, outrageously comical, and delightfully entertaining! Oh, and FYI, have your box of tissue handy; this one will definitely tug on your heartstrings! A wonderfully written kids' story for us grownups! I can hardly wait until all the dragonlings and their little partners in crime grow up to each have an adventure of their own but for now, we'll settle for another earth holiday, celebrated Valdier style!!!

The Dragonlings' Very Special Valentine Science Fiction Romance Dragonlings of Valdier Book 4 edition by SE Smith Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Another great adventure with the Younglings. And what an adventure..One very talented young one can make a Portal...And, off we go '
on another fun filled time with these loveable darlings. I loved the "true story" and the way you wove it with the same place setting with another story and worked everyone in..You have to be the most talented writer to keep me so absorbed in your books and always love the final ending..looking forward to many more stories with these young dragons.
S.E.Smith knows how to touch a heart. Be it young or old. New to the world of love 💘 or a pro. The Dragonlings brought forth the ideas and solutions to the World of Love through the eyes of the young. The human adults brought with them all the memories of Valentine Days from last to present day to help the Dragon adults understand this wonderful holiday of earth. The Dragonlings Series of S.E.Smith is an extraordinary literary work for all ages. I'm looking forward to the next story in this series. Keep writing so I can keep reading. 💝
I just finished this book and am still processing the story. How can any author write so many books about the same topic but continually surprise us? It's simply talent and love. I cried and yet at the same time tears were flowing , I was laughing. Such a great read on so many levels! Imaginative, creative, wonderful flawless editing, sentences that flowed so naturally into one another. S E Smith, you are a goddess. I love the dragonlings and their parents. Please never stop gifting us with these stories ❤❤❤
As always, Mrs. Smith transported us to the Valdier world to enjoy another wonderful story about those little mischievous Dragonlings and their friends. It was just a novella but it was well written and hilarious. I love this little ones and hope to keep reading about them in the future. They are a joy to read about. In this installment they went to Earth to help a dragon warrior find his true mate and to help the "lonely blind human" accept and love him to heal both their hearts. The powers of Phoenix are growing with each story and she is finding her place in this, sometimes confusing, world. You should not miss this wonderful story.
If you've read any of the Dragon Lords of Valdier, you know the Dragonlings are a spin-off of them. They are in fact the children of the dragons and their human mates. I laughed through parts of this book, those little ones can get into more adventures than any of us at their age. I highly recommend this series as well as their parents series. I love S.E. Smith's books.
This is my newest favorite Dragonlings book. I love them all, but this one tugged on my heartstrings just a little bit more than the others. The Dragonlings set out to help a lonely woman heal a Dragon Warrior's hurting heart. As always, they succeed in making the task a fun filled challenge for the male Dragons of Valdier, Vox and Ha'ven. Join the fun and adventure that accompanies these small dragons and their fathers on their Valentine's mission to spread love. I think you'll love this book. I did. Enjoy! (P.S. I suggest that you have some tissues handy.)
Once again the young o as take us on an adventure. I Had forgotten that I had pre ordered this book and when I woke and saw it one my kindle I giggled like a little girl ( I have not giggled in a long time) but a knew that stepping into this book would be fun and heart warming. These kids are just to sweet and every time I read a story with them my heart smiles. The fun that they and their fathers have is worth the wait .'Ms Smith hit the mark with this story. If you have not read any of her books before you are missing a treat, the warriors with their ladies and friends will set an amazing stage for you. Step onto the transporter pad and join the fun. And you too can be fly with dragons.
