So very disappointed with this Private novel. I read all the others Privates novels written with Mark Sullivan and really thought they were excellent. This was so violent in the second half and nothing like a security operation.

If you just want to read a book to kill time, no pun intended, read this. However, lots of violence and little substance. Definitely a formula book.
I have read all the Private stories to date. The Olympics episode is my all time favorite. This adventure in "Princess" is a close number two. It is loaded with romance, family and devotion to the organization. The characters are favorites from other tales. My question is a persistently - when will we see the Private novels made into a series of movies?
Not a very good book at all. The other Private novels are pretty decent, but this is just words strung together with no rhyme or reason. James Patterson should quit putting his name on books he clearly hasn't written
Private? I get it, but I kind of think it’s a stupid name for an Investigative company. That being said, this story stands alone well, as I didn’t realize till the end of the book that many other “Private” books have been written by other authors and James Patterson. The storyline is actually three stories of investigations. Two stories involve the same killer, one is an unrelated story of revenge. See the problem?

Who-done-it, competition, pay-back; that’s the book in a nutshell.

Not a lot of surprises or twists and turns, but how much of what I think about the book has to do with my expectations? High price, known authors, and a British Princess? Yes, I expected a book hard-to-put-down, and exciting! It’s not. It is just an okay story with some interesting and likable characters.
I kept thinking I should give it at least two stars, because at least it has standard grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation, appropriately used. However ... not. The first third had a reasonably good plot. Then it all swirled down the toilet with the "hero's girl is the redshirt" meme, and ended up with a lot of graphic violence.
Have mixed feeling, , not my favorite Private.
While I enjoyed the story line, as always, Jack falling IN LOVE with every main female character is getting ridiculous. Attraction and short affairs are believable, but Justine has always been presented as the actual "love of his life" though they can't seem to get on the same page at the same time. Let's get back to that.
